Six Sigma solutions @ CEBS

Six Sigma solutions of CEBS are metrics employed by the company to qualitatively evaluate their performance so that it can be quantifiable effectively for the benefit of all our clients. Our intentions for resorting to these are to provide an efficient mechanism that is able to focus on the improvement of organizational performance; by improving the business processes. We resort to these strategies in order to improvise on delivery time, have a shorter and efficient PDLC, and also to improve the product quality and in process quality of the deliverables. In other words; this methodology is able to provide for rigorous disciplines that use analytical data to quantify and improvise on the performance of the company. 

We intend to do this by identifying the ‘loopholes’ or ‘defects’ in the system that help in improving the quality and performance of our company’s deliverables. At CEBS we achieve this by allocating a select few that would be able to adopt, monitor and also improvise the methodology of Six Sigma. 

Our company generally follows a five point strategy for Six Sigma, which is: Define Quantify, Analyze, Improvise and Monitor. The underlying feature for this is to improvise on the productivity and also to prevent any anomalies in the system. The base of our approach is highly customer centric. Therefore we aim at evaluating how well a process would be performed. We aim at higher Sigma capability as it suggests a work culture that is free from all the anomalies. 

We base our evaluations on the data metric that is based on reducing the variations in the process and also aiming at having a control to increase the product quality. The underlying feature is also to reduce the cost of operations. Putting it in a basic form; Six Sigma solutions of CEBS are driven toward the delivery of customer needs, and the medium that we use is highly data driven. We believe in having good inputs in the process that result in eliminating the defects of the system. We also intend to eliminate any variations in the process and also increasing the capabilities of the process. Therefore the end results produced by us provide deliverables that are ‘On time, Precise, Cost Effective and are also based on the requirements of our clients’. CEBS trains its employees to have an increased understanding and awareness of the Six Sigma tools so that there is an amplified efficiency in the organization right from the grass root.

Our Methodology is elucidated in the following manner:
Define: In this phase the process of the company that needs improvisation is identified. We evaluate our client requirements and then from those perspectives evaluate their quality needs. These then put together with the project scope, and team roles, help us in determining the milestones that our company has to achieve in the subsequent years, and based on these we also create a process that is required to map the evaluation of the process that we are using. 

Quantify: Based on the defined strategies we measures the deviations from the process and try to quantify these. In that regard; this is a step forward in trying to improvise the defects. 

Analyze: In this process of CEBS we analyze the reasons behind the anomalies in the process. We identify the variables that can cause the defects and thereby having pointed towards these; we try to analyze the reasons that are causing deviations in the process. 

Improvisation: After having identified the anomalies in the system and measuring how they impact the efficiency of workflow, this stage intends to improvise the anomalies and thereby help produce a better and an efficient system for the company that is able to generate good results for our clients. 

Monitor: This stage evaluates if the above stated variations are able to comply and stay within the maximum acceptable ranges using simple checklist procedure and also statistical measurement devices.

At CEBS we believe that the effectiveness of Six Sigma becomes more obvious when it is deployed simultaneously at all the three levels. As a measure we use it as a scale to measure the defects of the company. As a method we deploy it to improve the strategies of the company by helping us to be clear about our client requirements and also to align primary business methods to target those requirements. As a managerial tool; it entails a strategy by which the managers would be better able to identify and rectify the errors and leverage the company to path of success based on Six Sigma ideology.
